Steps to Reactivate an AOL Account?

You can recover an AOL account through the Account Recovery option. However, a valid mobile number and email id should be registered with the AOL account. If it is, then make sure to follow the steps given below in sequence.

• First of all, go to the official website of AOL and navigate to the “Reset your Password” page.
• Provide the username/email address and then click on Next.
• Enter the email address specified for account recovery and then click on Submit.
• Now, answer the security questions and then click on Submit again.
• You will be asked to implement the new password. Enter the password twice for verification. (Keep the password strong but easy to remember)
• Click on Submit and then Continue.

This would help you to reactivate the AOL account successfully. You must remember that you can recover the account through security questions six times only. 

If a user is unable to answer the security questions even after the sixth attempt then AOL locks their account for 24 hours. During this time period, they would not be able to reactivate their account. 

Moreover, to keep yourself on the safer side, you should tick mark the “Remember Me” box while signing in, to avoid any further problems. On doing so, you will remain signed in to your AOL account indefinitely. However, if you clear cookies and caches, the saved password will be removed.
